Getting the shaft in the pilot bearing is the hardest part. The trans is so heavy/bulky, having a second person to help hold it to get the angle right is a huge help.

you need patience. it can be a PITA.

hopefully you have a hydro si trans and not a cable

Yup its a massive pain. It took me 4 days to get it aligned by myself. I ended up getting really drunk and literally kicked the trans until it went it

my trans went in super smooth.

word of advice, ontop of what teal said:

- have someone underneath to push on the small side of the housing
- have someone hold the housing by the flywheel
- have someone else just incase you need to readjust your grip

i had 3 friends over at the time.

one to hand bolts, 2 to help, and myself. easiest install ever.

Yea its always a good idea to use a shop crane or a second person, don’t ever put your self in a dangerous situation such as baring the load of heavy objects while working above your self. Thats just asking for bad things.
