no 3rd and 4th...

i got a 95 ex coupe with a d16z6, and i dont have 3rd or 4th.. i was thinken of getting it rebuilt... this winter im going to have the engine rebuilt and turbo'd... will this tranny be good? or am i goen to spend money on a new one? should i just rebuild this one and worry about it later or save money and get a different one, and does anyone got one for sale???

might just go ahead and get another tranny so and rebuild that one with new gears and LSD and what not

I just rebuilt mine, for the cost I could have bought a few used sohc trannys. But then you run the risk of those having bad synchros too. If you can't even get into 3rd or 4th, that could be bad (expensive). I'd want to take it apart and see what needs replaced.

to rebuild the tranny is more than i paid for the car.., im gonna look at junk yards tomorrow... but 400 bucks to rebuild it... is that normal???
