What type of fluid should I use in my 94 Honda Civic 1.6 v tech with a manual trans? Some people say gear oil is better. Are they right, and what weight?

I've heard nothing but good things about the Honda Manual Tranny Fluid :thumb:
Some people run GM Synchromesh too. My first choice would be the Honda stuff though.

You certainly can't go wrong with OEM Honda parts...pads, lubes...anything.

However, I went with Red Line MTL and it does shift smoother. 8)

honda mtf always.

if you have grinding probelms, try GM Synchromesh to see if it helps.

Redline works too.
