Dash Seats, Steering Wheels etc... If it's inside your Civic then it's in here.

#52605 Hi all,
I want to replace the moonroof in my Ej1 Coupe. Once i get the interior pieces off i'm sure i'll be able to figure it out, but i want to make sure i get everything off without damaging it (for me nuts and bolts are not nearly as confusing as smooth curvy pieces of plastic :???:)
I'm willing to jump into it, but if anybody has any tips on where to start, whether i'll need any special tools, how not to break things like little plastic clips and whatnot, i'd realllly appreciate it.
I've looked the site over pretty thoroughly and checked out all the threads i thought might be related.. haven't really found just what i was looking for so far, but if someone has a link to a how-to on removing interior I'd be happy with that as well.
Thanks to any and all who reply!!

#52628 All you need tool wise as far as i can remember is a couple of screwdriver and some torx bits

You've got to basically strip out the back of the car first i.e. seats out, and the panels at the side. Then you can take off the trim around the windows. Once you've undone all the visible screws, just pull it and itll pop off! The seatbelts will mean you cant actually remove thes panels from the car, but you dont have to - so long as the trim is out the way so that you can get to the screws behind them!

You might have to remove your boot struts too, you have to for a hatch but i cant remember where they're mounted on a coupe :P You also have to take off the wee strip along the top of the boot, that just pulls off though!

After youve got the pillar trim bits off, you need to take off the light in the headlining and the sunvisors - they're easy to get off though. Then you have to pull off the 2 popper things above the back seats

After that you undo the screws around the edge of the headlining and it should just come off after that!
