- Thu Sep 23, 2010 9:19 pm #215108 ikon- Thanks for the heads up. I had a feeling that the mounting kit was junk, plus having to buy 2 to mount the 5 panel is ridiculous. Not worth it for me especially since I'm not 100% on the wink yet.

I did make a really rough bracket to mount the wink mirror and STILL keep the sun visors. I did the install today and the long bracket (comes in kit) isn't long enough for my liking, so I'm going to make a longer one. Right now, the mirror sits to far forward. the visors are still functional but the wink still gets in the way. I'm making a DIY right now. (uploading pics, write up) I will have to add more to the DIY once I make the long bracket and finalize my project.

For now, here is a teaser of my setup w/ DIY pics.

- Thu Sep 23, 2010 9:40 pm #215114 ^^^ my buddy had the same set up like the last pic that u posted and u see how the brackets are kinda bent and angled??? Well yea 3months later the winks right side mounting bracket broke due to strain and bowing out from heat (florida)...
So I wouldn't recrimend it...
