Civic EG

does anybody know how to remove the part were i put my key to start the car cuz somebody tried to steal my car last night and made a big mess of it so now i have to replace it any ideas would be really helpful thanks guys

I dont mean to be a dick bro but you really didnt need to remove your steering column or go through all of that work. All that needs to be done is remove the outer shell that goes around the steering columb inbetween the dash and the steering wheel. turn the key to ACC is press the little silver button and pull (MAKE SURE TO REMOVE BATTERY LIKE VEGASCIVIC SAID THOUGH)

Unless you have some odd civic from Darfur or somthin :wink:

haha shits effed up over there so i figuared if there was a civic over there it probly is too haha :lol:

how do you do it ive been told that only works on ef not eg or ek and i cant get it to work

Honestly i could exactly ttell you right now, i have to be looking at my eg and...well im at work lol....But its do able. Coplies and i have done it on and EK and an EG so i know its do-able. i will attempt to explain it better after work and i look at it.
