sooooooo a few months ago i decided to try to do some weight reduction just for shits and giggles
i took out the back seats and my ac and all the lines etc.
i atempted to put carpet in the back it came out ok not that great tho
im going to cut out the peice of metal where the rear speakers are
but after that i kinda wanna put truck bed liner down in the rear instaed of carpet
if only seen a few good 4drs gutted but they all had cages wich i dont really want/ need
soo any sugestions would be awesome

Truck bed liner is heavier then your OEM Carpet, Friend of mine has a 92 CB7 coupe w/ a h22 swap, His trunk is all Rhino liner, It looks cool and keeps the noise down, However agian. Its heaver then your OEM Carpet.

Not trying to ruin your "weight reduction" fun, Your not saving much weight. Unless the cars going to be a full track car I would recommend putting your back seats and carpet back in. It will make your drive much quieter if you do so.

i already have everything out and i honestly dont mind the noise at all
i might just try to paint it instead idk i just like the no rear seats look

If you truly want to get some reduction going start deleting item's such as cruise control, AC, Carpet, Seats, Door Panels, Speakers, Radio, Passenger Seat, Driver Side Racing Seat, Seat Belt Brackets, Window motors changed to roll up. Sunroof. Etc....

thats going to be next year for sure im keeping my eye o[pen for manual locks and windows and such my ac is out maybe power stearing next but i love cruise controll as goofy as that is i cant part with that or my radio im thinking maybe just to speakers is enough door panels are comming off soon just dont know what to put over them so it doesnt look weird any sugestions??

guess you could get some large plates of i cant think of it maybe tin or something else....and just either rivet it in or sheetmetal screw it in and yea thatd be your best bet cut a hole in it to grab it so you can shut your door....

yeah sheet metal is expensive tho
gonna take my shitty carpet job out soon and just spray it black make it look decent untill i get manual windows im leaving the panels in
any one know specs on how much seats and ac weighs like individually?
