hi sorry for the stupid question but i have just bought a jdm 2 din center console but befor i can fit it i need to take out the center bit between the 2 seats that surround the gear stick and handbrake does any1 know how to remove the gear knob off a civic hatch thanks for ur time i apologize again for my stupidity

If what your asking is what im thinking you should just have to twist. it may be hard but twist with all you got.

yea if its the oem shift knob then you just unscrew it by hand however if aftermarket you may have some other steps there may be a guard on the bottom you unscrew and then allen keys holding it on but hopefully its just oem makes it alot easier
