Is this legitimate? I've never seen it before. 500+S/H seems kind of steep though...

Just seems like a waste of money. There is no use for a $500 climate control. I am a JDM whore and I wont even pay above $40 bucks for any kind of unit in that matter.
Watch out for e-bay auctions. He probably wants that much since you are getting the unit for the heater along with the climate control.

there really is a digital one, as well as the manual (cable) one. The manual one pulls a cable when you move the slider, the digital one is all done at the touch of a button. it must have small motors that do the physical changing. So That auction is probably legit, but a little weird the seller didn't show the face of the unit.
The digital one is like the ones in newer cars that adjusts itself to stay at a chosen temperature. definitely baller JDM status if you had to burn $500.
I've seen them for EK's before but never for an EG.

True that... I know EK's have it for sure since I had one in mine. I also only paided like 50 bucks for it.
I am will call around and see if this was a option for Eg's
