#27704 small update, but not a good one.

both clutch pumps failed on me, the one on the gearbox and the one near the resevoir.

had no clutch pressure this morning, pumped the pedal a few times and got some pressure, but the gears were getting hard to engage on the way to work. drove her to my mechanic's place and he pulled the pumps apart. seals were shot and there was pitting. ill try to get pics if i can.

total damage, about 350 bucks in local money.

and ive still got the rust to take care of. *sigh*

found some old pictures of her and some friends, good times.

the dc5's owner moved to indonesia for work, the EK owner sold it cuz it was a lemon and the other EG went to the UK for studies.

dc5 had a a'pexi hayabusa exhaust and a spoon drop in filter, mugen ecu, tein springs. EK had a B16A with type r 5 lug swap, full type r interior, black racing wheels and a nosi as fawk buddyclub exhaust. the other eg also had a b16a, enkei rp02's....not really sure what else he had.

#39693 so after 5 months of paying for other shit and paying off the credit card, i finally got to touch her up and get rid of that rust spot.

The body shop did a cut-n-weld, reprayed the rear quarter panels, and the front and rear bumper.

pics aren't ready yet, i'm sorry, cuz the before pics are on my ex gf's phone and im trying to get them from her.

#50485 been a while since i posted here, got lazy and been busy with work:

Fixed the rust and touched up her paint,

then just last month, my old radiator failed after 2 years (fuckin taiwanese crap), and i got an alumnium one to replace it:

far kew!

installed:

after installing it the car still overheated after two days, turns out my water pump was leaking, so i also went ahead and had the the timing belt changed, the other ancillary belts also needed replacing....damn this did some damage to my pocket.

lately i did some of my own body work, although it was really minor...the fucktard at the body shop didn't put down enough paint on the rear wheel arch after he got rid of the rust, and surface rust started forming. so i sanded it down and painted over it with a brush.

plans are still the same, boost, pu bushes etc. so many expenses, so little money. :(

#50785 thanks teal, and it wasn't my idea lol, my friend found a mallet at the shop and wanted to destroy it, he kept asking me if i still wanted it.

korean4life: the paint i chose is grand prix white, paint code's nh565 if you wanna look into it. this is by far the whitest white ive seen ever. and its not the gay ass white with the blueish tinge either...it's REALLY white.

#50788 i forgot to add that i put in some endless vn9500 pads in a few months ago. a little pricey but worth it, braking performance is excellent and it got rid of that annoying high speed judder problem and chafing sound! :thumb:

#51426 im leaving the office and i approach a T junction. theres a car blocking my view to the right so i cant really see if there's oncoming traffic. i see that the coast seems clear so i start moving, then lo and behold, a car out of nowhere. oops, ok, i hit the brakes.

then the next thing i know i hear a sickening thump/crunch sound and i get jolted forward.

"what the fucccckkkkkk...."

i unlock the doors, jump out of my seat, look at the driver and go "dude! what the hell man?!"

i look at my rear bumper and this is what i see:

clearly im really pissed now. the guy walks up and apologizes, saying its his fault. this calms me down somewhat and he suggests we pull over to the side.

he knows he's at fault so he said he'll cover the damages. being typical malaysians we prefer to settle this without involving insurance and the cops, cuz its just a right bitch to go through with it. i inspect the damage and tell him it'll cost about 150-200 bucks to fix. he asks if he can pay 150. i see that he's got his kid and wife waiting in the car, then i take a closer look at the damage, and i let him off for 150.

fucking friday nights. what a way to start the weekend.

think ill drop the bumper off at the shop tomorrow in the morning.
