#216052 Thanks people.

Wow, It's been like a year and a half since I posted this project.

There has been MANY updates and money spent since then. I'll see if I can update this post in a bit with a few updates.

#216071 Right, unfortunetely I couldn't find my post from the UK forums which was slightly more updated which would of saved me all the write ups.

Not to worry, I'll post up some more recent pics in order of how recent they are.

Also I'll add some brief descriptions. :)

As you can see from the first set of pics, suspension is all standard. I bought some MeisterR Zeta coilovers for her, here are some pics after fitting the front set on.

The rear suspension could not be changed as the rear LCA bolt snapped due to being seized...very common as you know with EG's.
Image

Then week after, drilled out the bolt and replaced the rear suspension, this is how she sat for a while.

Image

Rear window tints and wind deflectors were removed as I wanted a cleaner look.

Then, on a wet evening in an unknown area, I assumed a corner was 45 degree, when in fact it was a blind sharp 180 degree bend and ended up understeering towards the barrier. Managed to twitch the car using the handbrake to avoid a head on collision which probably would of killed her.

Learnt my lesson, no matter how well you prep to take a nice line for a corner, NEVER do it unless you know the corner and possibly when it's dry too lol.

This was the aftermath;

Rear arch grinding the tyre :(

After this happened, I was contemplating whether to start from scratch. I thought, what's the point, I will revive her to an even better standard.

Oh, the pics were from my iphone, terrible terrible quality, my car looks orange, it's actually red heh.

Anyway, this gave me the excuse to actually have a new rear arch done, wish I'd done the other side.

Quick pic a day after the repair/spray. Also with my 16" Slipstreams on. :)

A few more pics another night.

A few months later, had a full fresh D16z6 rebuild with all OEM parts. Existing pistons and crank were the only parts re-used. Old engine out of the bay ready for new fresh D to go back in!

A few months after that I bought some new wheels. Rota Zero Plus's

Since then I've sold the wheels due to the mad offset. Had rear arch scrapage issues. I've been back on the slips for a while, but I have a nice set of new wheels arriving tomorrow.

I have done SOO much more from what you've seen, but I'm due to update my photos on my car soon though. Stay tuned.

#216243 good work mate, what you gonna do with the slips?
User avatar
By -paul
#216245 Yeah I've done so many more changes that haven't been mentioned or photo'd.

I'll list a few things from the top of my head that has been done.

Interior
Grey interior replaced with black interior.
Hopefully to dye the carpet black soon

Exterior (Chassis + wheels etc)
16" Slipstreams gunmetal with chrome lip
Tegiwa Tow Hook
Tegiwa Tie Bar
MeisterR Zeta S Coilovers (the coilovers in the pics you've seen have been changed to these ones as they have a much better softer setting for street, also has 32 damper settings, so also good for track abuse)
MeisterR LCA's
Brand new rear mud flaps
VTI lip
Carbon Fibre Spoon replica spoiler
Amber corners

Engine
D16z6 rebuilt.
Ebay long induction kit
Standard manifold but custom exhaust (which I want replacing)

Weather is rubbish right now, soon as the weather is good, I'll take some long awaited photo's.

I also have a new set of 15" SSR Type X wheels on the way :D

They're in very good condition, not a single curb mark and it's got the original finish. Some of the paint has started flaking where the tyre bead sits but it's not noticeable with the tyres mounted. I'd just spray some lacquer over it before I mount the tyres. Theres a few stone chips and marks around the stud holes which have been touched in.

The guy who I've bought them off had them sent from Japan 5 years ago and has had them in storage the whole time.

Think I'll wrap some Toyo T1R's all round. :)

Yeah thanks man, can't wait to get the wheels and wrap them in rubber. Can then slam my EG to a nice ride height and get it all aligned.

A few more pics I missed out with my Zero's on. (I've sold them now due to the offset being ET10 :| ) lol.

P.S. You may notice that some pics make my car look orange, it really isn't, it was just taken from an iphone. The ones I've just posted were from my brothers phone with a far better camera on. These pics are about 2-3months old. Once I get my SSR's on, I'll take some more recent pics, if the weather gets better. :P

#216476 Probably keep them as winter wheels for now.

Not 100% if I want to sell them or not.

How's your coupe going? :)

#216492 poo basically... it hasnt moved for about 2 months now. Im just not sure how im gonna approach my no spark issue, seems like ive tried everything. Ive got a spare D16Z6, its just getting the time and money to get it in and running. Im tempted to buy a white hatch, but again... money isnt good right now [smilie=BangHead.gif]
