First of all, I don't think it'll be a write off. And based from your story, the pictures, and what I'm thinking is that you are right. 1st: Dumb learner parks too close to you blocking sight from your whole left side. 2nd: You move reverse inch by inch to be safe and see if there is incoming traffic. 3rd: Dumb blonde drives through with possibly more than 10 km/h speed in a parking lot (if that is a parking lot, 'coz that's the speed limit here in Alberta and I hope there too). 4th: Why didn't she honk at you to let you know that she is passing by? Maybe because she is on her cellphone?

Thanks mate, it wasn't like a car park. It was just 4 bays in a lay-by by the side of a minor road. Max speed was 30mph. Even though most people don't stick to the limit down this road.

I hope to get it fixed.

Heh, it is my daily driver. I'll need to visit some breakers or something. Never know, I may be able to push my bumper out and re-use it
If you open the top glass half of the tailgate though, theres all white crease / cracks down the inside of the metal pillar where the pannel has shifted. The pannel dosn't sit flush to the glass either, so I'll have to try and pull it out. Pay day isn't until 2 weeks I've got a Coupe sat on the drive, shame parts arn't interchangable.

Painting that tailgate R81 red cost me £35 on its own for the paint

Spoon N1 exhaust = £350

Tailgate = £100

- Mon Jul 21, 2008 8:53 pm #62857 That seriously sucks...but I am sure its fixable though insurance may write her off id buy it back and fix it I got slammed by a big rig in the rear and ended up with 900 and though insurance never wrote it off I fixed her myself and it looks pretty darn good though I have to get another tail gate since mine dosent sit correctly anymore to the bracketry.....mounting point is messed up.....

But anyways Id say rebuild it

Also to get the rear bumper popped out take a heating element such as a hair dryer and heat up that area then slowly work it out. one area at a time (learned it from a body man and it dose work fixed my bumper)

- Tue Aug 19, 2008 11:32 am #66667 Looking at the damage it looks as if she didn't stop right away and ran her car down the whole back end of you, if this is right then right away she has been driving to fast and with out due attention.

On top of that you say you think she might have been on the phone at the time if so contact the police right away and eplain word for word what happened including any threats she gave you at the time of the incident.

Tell the police you want to have a phone records checked to see if she was on her phone, they will not give them to you but they can then find out if she was, if she was then you can claim off of her and its 3 point to her just for that plus the cost of damages to your car.

I had an 08 Tundra back up into my eg on the right side when I was asleep. The insurance company told me 1500$$ to fix it..... but the guy who hit me insurance paid for it.... Keep us updated on the civic..... its still fixable!

I'm not just after the arch, but the hole back-end side. Does this panel exist lol? I need rear arch up past the fuel tank cap and the parts which go around to the tailgate.
