Right now just have Skunk2 Stage 1 Tuner cams (with all Skunk2 complete valvetrain) previous owner did work to motor I would have done higher stage ....

but this winter upgrading motor an going with Skunk2 Stage 2 Pro cams(an upgrading to all Skunk2 PRO valvetrain)

Oh ok I figured it was tuner for the numbers you hit. I am doing the same build that's why I am curious :D I am getting the stage 2 pro as well. Is your head ported and polished, or just the intake mani?

Yeah its not the cheapest but is well worth the extra cash. I know someone that fully built there B series engine and wasn't happy that he couldn't hit the 200whp mark. He never bothered to port an polish the head, otherwise it should have hit the mark no problem.

Anyways keep us posted on your build, I am defiantly keeping a close eye on it lol :thumb:

#127948 :x I must have a bad curse or something! ugh.... finally got part welded up, but my buddy = who I can now refer to as my dumbass tuning douche bag buddy.... some how broke TPS #2.... so I get another one... he didnt break the 3rd one thank god, so its all put back together an now the tuning part comes in, what I had paid this guy to do in the first place.. but anyways so after about 20 mins of him not be able to get it to idle... he says," well I guess you need to take it to a performance shop, I dont know whats wrong with an cant get it to idle" an I asked him to try a couple more settings an tweaks with his ITB program on Crome... an after a few more mins he just leaves an says I hope you can find someone to tune your car or can just put back your old setup on!! :x So fukin pissed not even funny...

so now after almost 3 weeks of car sitting in garage, its still same boat of not running.... :(

So if anyone know of a good Tuner / Performance shop in GA, AL or TN let me know I am in Chattanooga, TN which is close to GA an AL but willing to drive.. will Trailer my car to a shop to get it finished...

sorry for the long rant.. just needed to vent

Well I was to nice of a guy an paid him early he just lost his job (was a Honda mechanic..) only paid him $60 for tuning it an he got me the first tps after he broke it an I got the last one for $10 so not to worried bout the money just want it running at this point..

Is AEM ems unit my only option? or would a Hondata s300 be able to handle Alpha N??

#132733 Well finally after several weeks, dont remembe how many hours was spent, but finally she is ALIVE! :D

Lucked out an got a good deal on a Hondata s300 already installed an all software from a local guy $300 ! that was only main thing I had to buy other than few misc pieces here an there

She is idling at 900-1000rpms right now an driving pretty good, going this saturday to Alabama to get dynotuned, so finally can see what numbers she made an to tweak her so she will be driving good!

Here is just a short video taken with my iPhone of car enjoy

#133230 How much of a difference can you tell with the Itbs? Also, just wondering as to why you set your vtec to hit at 3800?

#133253 AEM EMS is one of the easier ones to tune with. I dont know for sure if you can do it on S300, but might as well try since you have it.

Well right now more throttle response w ITBs an more mid range punch!, as for the vtec the 3800 was set because that was the best spot on the first dyno results, it was set at 5800 but after tweaking it to 3800 it provided best power curve an most whp

Well I couldnt find a good deal on the AEM EMS but yes the Hondata S300 is plenty able to run ITBs so everything is working out good

#133327 Well got back from the dyno today, not as much gains as I had hoped but I still got some benefit I loss 2 whp but gained 10 ft/tq so that was nice plus a BIG bump in the mid range power curve an she sounds mean as hell which is nice! :D oh an vtec is now set at 3600

but all in all not to bad of an adventure
traded some wheels for the ITBs
sold my s2 throttle body an c/f intake (plus got some parts plus cash) an p28 ecu which paid for Hondata s300
so maybe only like $250 in misc parts to complete this project which not to bad I guess
