- Wed Nov 25, 2009 9:13 pm #158426 crashed my car tonight, wet road, steep hill, stupid woman breaking late in front of me. well you can guess what happened. damage isnt mega bad, but the slam pannel is bent in, one side light smashed, one wing bent, front bumber smashed.

Was only insured at a value of £500 so would cost more to put right and paint.......so in the eyes of insurance its a write off.
unfortunately i dont have the cash to fix it, so im parting it out.

- Thu Nov 26, 2009 3:22 pm #158537 well you could always sell some parts and buy a cheaper version of said part such as what i would be interested in that 3 spoke edm/jdm/cdm steering wheel(non-airbag) and get a different cheaper easier to find steering wheel......or ill send you my 4spoke with air bag or my 3spoke prelude wheel.....or something then you have cash and a steering wheel....still

you can do the same with the cluster, your strut bar, could sell your z6 and get a d15 for now since its cheaper.....and could sell and trade for a stock exhaust you just gotta look at it like this if you really dont wish to get rid of it then part out some of it cash and trade wise. this way you wont run into a problem where you have the money to fix her but the parts you sold you wont be able to drive her again.....and for now id just go to a auto yard and get used parts that you need or god forbid ebay for at least headlights if you cant find any.....this way you wont be blowing your budget on new stuff....and you can always sand and prime black for now or gray or something lol.......

Dont send her to the scrapper !!

- Thu Nov 26, 2009 6:14 pm #158556 hey mate cheers for the ideas. im gunna take all the damaged parts off this weekend, and see where that leaves me, i got a quote for the slam panel front panel today and it was only £50. so im going to see exactly what i need to get her back on the road..

thinking of selling off the wheels and getting cheaper painted steelies. wanted them anyway.

- Thu Nov 26, 2009 7:57 pm #158562 sounds good im running steelies as well.....and you could also try and reuse the front bumper if not completely damaged, as well as bend back the fender corners to bmake it look decent. really what i see you are gonna need is front core support, probaly radiator tho im not sure , hood, lights and corners so to be honest its not all that bad ......
