Well its been awhile since I've actually posted any kind of progress threads on my 92 hatch. Lets just say alot of things are different, and Nelson999 is to thanks for it. I saw 1 pic of Nelsons car and it just slapped me in the face and sent me in a different direction. So hey Nelson999......THANKS!!
First off was the front lip. It had to go......the thing about it that bugged me is how it wrapped up onto the bumper, ya know by the front grill, yeah, thats something thats always bugged me. Even though the fronts all stock and bare, my friend that I work with is giving me a stock Si front lip. So thats gonna be on before long.
Next thing down the line was the EK sideskirts...........yup, they're gone too. I went back to the stock skirts! Since I went back to the stockies, I was finally able to put on the front mudflaps. I've had the rears on, but the fronts never fit with the EK skirts.
Not done yet......
Next on the list was the exhaust. As some of you know I've always had the exhaust running straight down the car, under the gas tank, up and out. Well we went back to a stock set up. Still 2.5" pipe, but now curved and bent up and over the LCA. To be honest....I really dont like it like that, so I'm thinking I'm going back to open header for a while, so tomorrow the exhaust is coming down.
Since the exhaust is no longer an inch off the ground we decided to drop the car more. All in all its about an inch lower all the way around, but in the rear its more noticeable. I had to have the back end pretty high up before. Now she's nice and tucked.
After all that stuff, all the decals and logos on my back windows just looked a bit much. So today the good 'ol torch and razor blade came out. A lil bit of heat, and a lil bit of scraping, them windows are back to clean.
And finally.....
We reciently did a black roof on my car out of vinyl, the turn out was fabulous so I'm gonna take it a step further. I guess 2 tone is really the only way I can describe it. I found a pic on H-T that I'll post up in a minute.
So yeah, weather here has been a big turd as of late, so I havent popped off any pics of how things are going, but just give me a break in the rain and its on!! Hahahahha, its a whole different car.
Okay, so this is basically what my cars gonna look like. Measurements were taken today to start the process. Best part about it.....its a big sticker...peel it off whenever I feel like it.
And this is the pic of Nelson999's car that got me motivated to start the transformation. Thumbs up for a clean car.
