#151523 Hi all i've finally decided to go turbo on my stock D16Z6 engine. (No plans on upgrading internals) But i'm still deciding which setup i should go for as i got 3 offers at the moment. Hoping to get a opinion from you guys and thanks!

1. Turbo set comes with
-complete pipings
-a original GFB bov(go fast bits)
-TD04 Turbo good condition
-cast log type manifold (no weilding type for strength)
-supra intercooler (black colour for stealth)
-downpipe
-oilreturn line

Cost - $800

2. TURBO : GT 28
KIT : - HKS BLOW-OFF VALVE
- HKS INTERCOOLER
- HKS WASTE GATE
- HKS HEADER ; 4 X 1
- HKS DOWN PIPE

Cost : $1700

3.- HKS pro 2835 turbo kit with intercooler

Cost : $1500

#151536 the TD04 kit sounds a little pricey for used parts. (or are not all of the parts used?)

The GT 28 kit is all HKS which is a good brand. Although you pay more for HKS and you could save a little money on cheaper components. There's also more parts you would need to buy with this kit...IC piping, oil lines.
the GT 28 will spool a little later and make more power than the td04

not sure what is in "HKS pro 2835 turbo kit with intercooler"
google results had it listed as 2 turbos, for supras :?

You need to research the compressor maps for each turbo and decide when in the rpm range you would like to make power from boost and how much power you would like to make. Either of the first 2 setups are great for the z6. The td04 is a good 'street setup' spooling up early, but not offering as much top end as the gt28.

keep in mind you will need money for fuel system:
injectors, fuel pump, fuel management and tuning. Adj Fuel pressure regulator and a fuel gauge will be nice for tuning too.

Depending on the software you use for tuning, you can be looking at $1000 + when fuel setup is all said and done. Or you can do DSM 450's, Crome and save some $$.
Just remember you get what you pay for

#151551 Wow great advice there...well i'm actually intending to drive this car for another 2 years or less so i don't think i want to take the car too hardcore on the mods.

My car has basically the standard I/H/E mods with unichip. I just want to bring out the best potential out of this current setup if you know what i mean.

If i'm planning to keep my internals stock with only a unichip piggyback , would it be right to say the TD04 would suffice as the GT28 would not be spooled to its actual potential leading to a waste of money?
