#263297 Well my buddy has had issues with his hatch for awhile now but ive gotten through most of them and helped him along.....now it seems that he has a constant 2k idle he told me that lets just say he was enjoying himself and ended up with it...

specs
JRSC, mapped ecu, aem fuel reg and rail, msd external coil setup

im thinking the iacv went bad or the map sensor is at fault if i rule those two out im going to look for a vaccum line something like that but as i go on if i dont solve this issue with these items i was wondering if there would be something else i should look at....

P.s. there are no check engine lights

#263305 I would check vacuums first. If you dont find any then just you can just unplug the map sensor to see if there is a change. If there isnt, then that could be the issue. You might have to drive it to notice a change though.

#263308 It can also be a BAD throttle body gasket.....( Throttle Body Gasket Leak)

#263418 well changed the tb gasket put the map sensor where it needs to be they had it comming off the intake manifold and replaced a dryrotted plug off and now its dropped down to 1500rpms lol idles alot better

but when i tried unplugging the map it just died and checked other lines i think he is timing but im done for now with the car since i did what he wanted and maybe more i.e. black interior swap , front lip, and got his rpms down so for now ive done enough work on others cars now to start fixing up mine well sorta mine lol .....

#263444 i was gonna say try looking at the throttle cable and make sure its not too tight and that there is a little slack. Also the throttle plate can be getting stuck open a little so spray wd-40. Also i would check the fast idle valve
