so i just bought a used tubo kit off a kid that knew nothing about cars, he was selling it becuase "all it did was blow engines", well after talking to him for a bit i realized he was trying to run 12lbs of boost on a 250k+ motor while useing 87 octane gas (becuase 91 was to pricey haha) and when i asked him if he got it tuned fist he asked what a tune was? haha keep in mind i got the wastegate, bov, manni, all IC piping and IC and the turbo for $400, there was fresh oil in some of the charge pipes and a bit inside the turbo. i dont plan on useing the turbo that came with it but if i could keep it as a back up that would be great, would i have to replace the seals on the inside or is a bit of oil blowby alright (well not alright but you know what i mean haha) i also noticed that the shaft in the turbo has a little play in it but not enought to touch the housing even close. how much is too much
i dont plan on putting it on my car untill i have enough money for a tune and a couple other parts to add to the list.
im at work right now and getting dirty looks so i have to cut this short, any help with the shaftplay or oil blowby would be great
