The D15z1 has the same stroke as a d16, 137mm. Giving the best torque of the D15's, Which in a Turbo Honda is always a good thing.

The Head I am not sure how well it handle boost. The VTEC-E Head will help give low end torque. Probably a better handle then a NON-VTEC Heads. You wont have any good source of cams. There is a build on here of someone who port matched there z1 head. and I believe used a D16z6 intake manifold.

I have never thought of using a VTEC-E Head. I planned on using the afore mentioned d15z1 block and a D16z6 head. This is a build I was planning on building.



im refurring to a y5 head in this case....i will not be using a z1 head...

#160330 fail fail fail suace...no one is frakin posting!!! haha anyway.. took the car to our dyno today....has a 1/4 mile program on it....car ran a 13.9 at 102 hahaha and thats prob right about where it would run on actual land so im not upset at all with my bone stock a6 on ten pounds with my mitsu 14b snail with FMU hahaha
