Trimming front bumper

Would I need to do any mods to the front bumper in my 92 lx to install the turbo intercooler??

depends on size really. most likely yeas cut out the mesh in the grill

sometimes you can get away with just trimming the back side of the bumper so it will appear stock. I was able to do this on mine but it was a tight fit!

Yup, I had to do minimal trimming to mine. It takes three hands to get it on since it's tight (I just use my knee and one hand to hold it in place, and my other hand to screw it in :P) but it looks waaaay better than those guys that cut out the entire center bit and all you see is an intercooler.
