new turbo build

- Mon Dec 21, 2009 1:40 am #163081 i have finally made up my mind boost a single. im gonna swap my z6 out to a vtec zc. im gonna run stock internals for now and rebuild my z6. few things does anyone make a turbo manifold that i can keep my A/C other than greddy. the cast iron ebay manifold looks like it might work.also knifing the oil pump? do you really need to do this?

- Mon Dec 21, 2009 2:16 pm #163168 I have the cast ebay one (I think it's a Drag knockoff?) and there's no way AC would fit with the way I have my turbo mounted. Compressor on driver side, hot side on passenger side. But I have a ton of room between the turbo and the block. So maybe t3 can be mounted the other way...

Here you can see what I mean, most of the turbo sticks out from the manifold. If it was flipped around I think AC would fit.

look into manifolds by:
DRAG
BLOX
Greddy
Edelbrock

says AC compatible, so I would think the knockoffs like mine would be too :thumb:

btw, don't use that header gasket, go with OEM MLS one instead
