Civic EG

i just about have everything for my turbo set up. still waiting on my basemapped ecu to get here and that should be here tomorrow. i also need to pick up some oil lines and a fitting for the oil pan. i had my log manifold sent in for powdercoat and brought my turbo in to be rebuilt.. so they should be back to me within a week or so.

but today i started messing around with my sensor bung and got my exhaust drilled and the bung welded in. also found a route to run the o2 wires up and found the vaccum line i need for my boost gauge.

overall it was a good day.. off to a slow start but not much i can do when im waiting for parts. ill be sure to take pics, i forgot to grab the camera but you wouldnt want to see my shity welds anyways.

routing the wires in through the fire wall for the wideband LED. the LED lets me know when the sensor is completely heated so it can get an accurate reading.


ran the wires through where my old nitrous power wires ran






wires ran to the switch so when my car has power the sensor starts to heat instead of having to flip a switch


drilled the old ashtray to mount my o-meter






shaved a little bit off of the trim piece of the ashtray to run my wires back through the dash

took the fron bumper off and marked where my FMIC would be centerd at.

what are the black vents for in the bumper support? i was assuming they were the vents that allow in just air when i just have it so the vents are open on my climate control


so over all from the 4hrs i worked on it yesterday and the 2.5 hours i worked on it today i got the o-meter gauge and innovate wideband sensor complete.

plan for tomorrow:
-finish boost gauge
-run wires for oil pres. gauge
run wires for a/f gauge (no need for it im only using it to fill the 3rd hole till i get another gauge)
mount and screw in gauge pod
-get IC mounts mocked up and mock up IC pipes

i dont think they are vents, they are just a support for the bumper its self, and there is that white piece of foam that goes in between the two for support also!

well this morning i went and got the turbo back from being rebuilt







it was rebuilt, balanced and sand blasted or some sort of coating

next i started to test fit the FMIC so i can cut the inside part of the bumper




didnt get any pics of the bumper after being shaved down. had to cut down some supports that i wouldnt use because of the FMIC and then had to shave down the bottom black valance so the end edges could sit in there right.

then i drained the oil and pulled off the oil pressure sensor and went to the local hardware store and picked up some fittings, oil feed line, and a oil return tube.

next i took off the oil pan to be tapped.

today i also got the header off and i am awaiting the call for my turbo manifold to get done with the ceramic coating, should be here monday im hoping. also got the wires for the boost gauge, oil pressure gauge and volt gauge ran down. so if im lucky everything will be in and done monday night and i can start tuning tuesday

whats left:
-mount gauge pod to pillar
-mount turbo to manifold and connect oil feed/drain lines
-weld turbo downpipe to the exhaust
-mount FMIC and run pipes
-wire in resistors to my injectors and bore out seals
-install ecu
-TUNING!!

got quite a bit done today as well..


finished the install on the gauges. waiting for my volt meter to come in the mail so i only got the pic of the oil and boost gauge

got all the oil lines and fittings ran and put the oil pan back on. didnt get any pics.. too dark under the car.

next i mounted my fmic

i ran the intercooler pipes down from the intake manifold to the fmic

and no im not running nitrous, i just had to take it out of the intake



i got the pipes going to the turbo test fitted but need my manifold so i can bolt the turbo on it to make it all complete.

then i mounted the injectors

whats left:
get mani back and bolt turbo on
run IC pipes to the turbo
connect oil lines to the turbo
wire in resistors
plug in ecu
TUNING


when i put my bumper on the drivers side fog light hits the IC pipe.. is there anyway around this or am i gona have to lose the fog lights?

This is looking good! There must be a way for the fog lights I hope? You don't see a lot of turbo'd EG's with foglights though...

But i thinks you've gotta loose the foglights, with all the EG turbo build i've seen so far... no one could use the foglights anymore...
