FMU's are cheaper than hondata, uberdata, AEM, crome, etc. but not nearly as accurate. If you are running a low budget turbo setup and don't plan on much boost, than an FMU will work. But if you spent big bucks on a setup and plan to run a lot of boost then definitely stay away from FMU's.

so can an FMU support 15psi?

I would not use a FMU for anythng over 6-8 psi. I've seen people use them on 10-12 psi but it is a gamble. 15 psi I would not use an FMU.

do some research before you have anyone touch your car. hondata is your best bet, but is very costly. uber and crome as well as others are freeware but someone will have to tune it for you just like the hondata.if you can find someone to tune freeware for you, make sure they have done it before. which is best? they are all pretty good....now it's time to decide...

fmu's i would say work best with turbo kits that are smog legal such as the smog legal greddy kit which comes with one and the edlebrock kit which also comes with one... but if u go custom turbo setup i say pay a little more for better tuning but this is in my opinion only tho...

if you want to rebuild your engine after you put on an FMU because you ran lean and melted your pistons go for it. there junk!!! for the price of a good FMU your talking about $300. for a little more you could have a fully tunable ECM.

Get Chrome, it's free, and then get on Honda-Tech.com and look up Matt Schue.
What injectors are you running? If you are still using stockers, you may need to run with the FMU until you are able to get something bigger than can be controlled better via the ECU and Chrome program.

Sorry for bringing up an 'old' topic...
I wouldn't boost at all untill I'd get my hands on a decent EM.
FMU's suck, to rich or to ehmm, stoich? (not enough fuel) and you'll end up with a lot of damage.
For the rest, see chicken rapp's reply

An AFC hack will also kill your engine.
It fools the ECU, wich also has some unwanted side effects, can't remember wich ones though.
I do know, that when you are going to boost, spend that few extra bucks on decent injectors and a good tune, pref. on a decent dyno.
The money you pay more with proper tuning, is money well spend and will save you a lot of money in the near future.
It also tends to make it run better, faster, stronger, longer, etc. etc.

X2 !!
Same as always, you get what you pay for.
the benefit (do i spell this correct ?

) of using an good management is that it can be fine tuned to meet your car requirments.
(my english suck my bad)
