For a start i was wondering is this combo any good? is it worth the money ?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CP-Pisto ... ccessories

and if i buy this combo plus blockgard and so, and buy an ebay turbo kit but replace the turbo will i be able to get like 280/300whp with gt35

sorry i am a big noob in turbo setups so go easy on me haha

Thanks in advance :)

it's all in the tune... but those internals are a good idea for the power you want to make.

You'll hear block guards are good/bad depending on who you ask...
Yes they strengthen the sleeve at the top.
But they also retain heat from the combustion chamber on an open deck block.

Ok so you would not recommend installing a block guard?
what size injectors should i go with 580? bigger? i am planning on boosting to 1.2bars +
my goal is 300whp ,no more :?
also can you recommend a clutch that will stand up to such power
thank you

i personally wouldnt go with a block guard, that is my opinion, if your considering a block guard, you would be better off to go with a full sleeve, but that is major $$$$ and quite frankly not worth it for your power goals...

and for the hp your looking at id say 440cc inj would be just fine,
as far as a clutch i would recomend either a act, exedy, or a zoom, i have used all 3 and they are of good quality... act being first choice hope this helps :thumb:

Thanks guys
i have one more question
a properly build turbo motor as the one i am planing on building i mean strong internals and stuff
can it be reliable enough to be used as a daily driver with with power over 280/300 whp ?
:?

honestly agin, its all in the tune, if it is tuned properly i dont see any reason it couldnt be driven daily?

if you're going to drive a boosted car hard (which you WILL) it's wise to have a backup car.
When you're forcing 300 HP out of these motors, something is going to happen eventually.
Invest in good tuning software and have it professionally tuned for sure if it is your daily driver :thumb:

that is my only hesitation for driving a boosted car daily... that is the reason i do not drive my boosted car daily....

I have a boosted z6 with those rods but with the nippon pistons......great combo. The ones you are looking at are rated for way more horsepower than you are looking at making, so you should be able to push serious amounts of boost to them. I also went with lower compression pistons, which I would not recommend for a daily driver, because with the lower compression, you are going to want to run more boost, which is more suited for the track than the street. Add to that the fidanza stage3 clutch/lightweight flywheel combo, and it accelerates quickly, but isnt really interested in putting through traffic. The car wants to go fast.

thanks again guys
i have one more question since i am about to do all that to a crx i was planing on swapping in a z6
but the rex has a good d16z5 in it is that engine worthy boosting?
i mean it has no vtec less aftermarket stuff
but it is for free haha and is dohc
so what do you think?
and can i make them numbers with the boosted z5
thanks in advance

D16Z5
(Basically the same engine as the D16A9, but now with a catalytic converter and lambda sensor)

Found in:
1988-1992 Honda CRX (European Market)
Displacement : 1,590 cc (97 cu in)
Bore and Stroke : 75 mm × 90 mm (3.0 in × 3.5 in)
Compression : 9.5:1
Power : 124 hp (92.5 kW, 126 ps) @ 6800 rpm
Torque : 103 ft·lbf (14.3 kg/m, 140 Nm) @ 5600 rpm
Valvetrain : DOHC (4 valves per cylinder)
Cam Gear : 34 tooth
Fuel Control : OBD-0 PGM-FI
Head Code : P7
Piston Code : PM7
ECU Code: PM7
- this is from wiki

its basicly a euro zc, that engine actually has a semi decent aftermarket support... alot of the bolt ons off a sohc will work... and zc's on like 9 psi actually run really well, they have a upgraded connecting rod from your traditonal sohc, and are actually decent start for a build imo if you allready have the engine :thumb:

sooo d16z5 is just like d16a9 only with catalyst ?
if so that is good news for me haha
cuz i have a buddy over here with turbo d16a9 (eagle rods, vitara pistons, ported head,t3/t4) and he is pushing 320whp with no problem what so ever
