I got this oil pan and a bunch of other turbo parts in a trade for a blown b20 motor.

My question is this, is the return line tapped too low on the oil pan? Alot of articles ive read have said to put the return line as high on the pan as possible. So is this thing junk?

too low.
might cause oil to pool in the line instead of drain.
plug it up and tap it again.

Weld it shut. Tap somewhere else. No need to get another pan.

Quit hint, you want it to be above the filled oil level so you won't have any going back up the line.
