Is there a down side to running a big intercooler vs. running a smaller one? like a 12" tall one compared to a 9" tall one

what size intercooler are you planning on running?
and yes there are advantages and disadvantages
i did research when i was going to SOhc vtec turbo but that was long ago

I looked this up a while back, read that a too huge of an intercooler will create more turbo lag.

and too small wont be efficent enough something along those lines
