I know, paint looks like shit and they're pretty dirty :P

My experience; feeling in the pedal is good, nice and hard, so that didn't change.
Brakes pretty hard as well, but I cleaned the rotors, wich means I have to do some rebedding-in as the adhesive layer from heated up pads is now probably gone, and it's been laying around pretty long, so... will get better I hope, because atm I'm not really impressed.
Except for machining of a few mm from the sliderbracket and redrilling the discs from 4x114,3 to 4x100, it was plug and play :)

Accord typeR is 300mm with 5*114.3. at the front. And has calipers with 2 pistons for each...

There was also an ATR with the same setup as the DC2 ITR, only 4x114,3 in stead of 4x100.

Just like a JDM DC2 ITR has 4x114,3, like vtec_gloucester's car.

Sorry Stefan, but all ATR CH1 models have 5*114.3....

Perhaps the EuroR CL1 has 4.114.3? The MB6 civic VTi has 282mm with 4*114.3 Even the DC2 spec ->96 (JDM) is 262mm with 4*114.3disks....

#38997 I'll contact my seller then, he has some explaining to do... still paid the same as I would for an ITR set, so no financial harm done :)

#40110 Yesterday we changed my clutch at Honderdelen (Honda parts shop of a friend of mine and his g/f, registered here as FastFWD).
It's an Exedy with only a few kilometers on it.
Image

Except for some bolts giving a hard time loosening, all wend very good, fast even...
The clutch wich came out was a Lux, or Fux, (whatever, imitation of imitation), the thing could be used to check whether or not your hair was allright, and sharp enough to shave :P
I cleaned the inside of the tranny, it was really dirty, all black and soft like satin.

Also, I brought a machined stock flywheel with me, weighing about 5.8-6kg, but what we didn't know was that there was already a lightweight (4.5-5kg) flywheel present!
Still we decided to install the 6kg flywheel, wich I don't regret.
In between shifts the engine doesn't loose speed as much wich makes a quick gearchange much more fluently, also generating more torque wich comes in handy when I'm driving 'like an oldtimer'.
Also, at higher speeds, the engine doesn't have to work as hard to keep it on that engine speed, maybe mileage will improve, I have to test that btw.
Acceleration really improved as well, but mu guess is that it only has to do with the new clutch.
Image

Also installed new covers on the axles, all four where dried out or even cracked and repaired.

Further more, the rear and 2 front engine mounts (wich were seriously worn) with a couple of stock ones wich have been customized with rubber kit and pieces of timingbelt.
The car resonates a whole lot more now, but not annoying (yet).
I'm considering ordering a set of inserts for the top two mounts.
Image

Last thing we did was customizing the shiftlinkage...
I've got a shortshifter, so with the B16 it resonates on the midpipe, really annoying.
We cut of the small weightblock hoping it wouldn't touch anymore, but it didn't work... still resonating.
Did remove some weight tho, wich off course is very very JDM :D

A while ago I started taking an old set of stock headlights, and put a thin layer of colored clear coat on the reflector and glass.
Just to see if I could manage to get the look I'm after from a set of stock headlights... it's a success as far as I'm concerned!
Now I'm planning to do this nice and tidy on a set of new stock headlights

That's it for today :)

#40122 Hehehe, paint the headlights? :thumb:

But painted the complete headlights? Isn't to much? You can't see at the darkness. :?

Ordered in November, maybe even earlier... it's insane, but also known that Password:JDM takes a hella long time to ship it's items.
The shiftboot fits perfectly, like stock, material is a bit thicker, so it's as good as stock, plus a bit :)

That set of headlights is scrap, so I'm just trying what works en what doesn't.
It is too dark indeed, so I'm going to try and get a thin layer on the stock glass, that makes it dark enough, and doesn't make it lose a lot of light.
And if it doesn't work, bad luck then, no dark headlights :(

#40977 Image YES!!
The mailman made me a happy camper today, with finally my ProSport peak and hold gauges!

First impressions (just by looking at it) after unpacking everything;
+ good quality gauges, looks pretty robust,
+ plugs and wiring are really decent, good quality and no mess,
+ easy-to-read installation manuals with text and images, simple wiring
+ very complete with gauge visors, mountingcups, etc. etc.

Only downside on them; with the A/F R gauge there is a white wire that has to be 'connected to the ECU', but I really wouldn't know what wire on the car's harnass that would be... and reeally... that's all there is!!
All that rests now is to install everything in the car, get some good oil and go :thumb:

What was in the box...
Image

All gauges next to each other, Boost/vacuum - Oil pressure - Oil temperature - A/F Ratio
Image

A 360° rotating sandwich ring with temperature- and pressure sensors
Image

And off course, a brand new HAMP oil filter
Image

I hope I've got some spare time Thursday to install at least the gauges in the interior and lead the wiring to were I'll need them later.

#41127 Had some spare time today, so I started installing the gauges :)
Of all the places I had in mind, I decided to put them on the A-style, other places were not practical (like the dashboard).

Result;
Boost/vacuum sensor installed, not wired up to the gauge btw, I kept the hose as short as possible... note the tiny airfilter between i/m and sensor :)
Image

In this pic the gauges are on their final place... not the biggest amount of work, but it had to be done neatly, and it's cold (so it took a while ;) ).
Most time was consumed by soldering the wires that feed the gauges, top gauge wires needed to be extended, bottom one needed to be shortened.
Image

In this pic the gauges are installed... gauges are still mounted crooked in their cups, a nice job for tomorrow, they're also switched on in amber mode
Image

And then here's a short video I shot with my phone, don't pay any attention to the two endlessly beeping gauges, sensors aren't wired up yet ;)
Tomorrow I'll be wiring up the AFR gauge and boost/vacuum gauge, and have to see when I have time to change oil and install the sandwichring with press./temp. sensors.

Most of the bothersome work has been done already, now the easy work :woot:

#41135 They're really worth the money!!
If I had to buy gauges again, it prob. would be these again :)

Videos with the extension ".3gp" can be viewed with Quicktime, standard format my mobile phone creates.

how does the back of the gauges look? I'm curious cause I want to see if I can replace my gauges with these.. I like the black face gauges and 270 sweep electrical.
