There are nuts prewelded into the chassis. I just made 2 small cuts in the OEM Carpet to let the bolts into the nuts welded in the chassis. Nothing that I did will cause it to rust.

I added the Dead pedal back on page 1, so its a pretty old mod.

I have my mind set on getting an OBD1 JDM b18b for some time, That said I will be pulling my d16z6 and selling off alot of my D Series stuff.

Today I am going to my uncles and pulling out the z6. I will be removing the d15b7 and transmission from my red beater sedan next weekend end and then installed into my Blue Sedan the weekend after that.

Shortly after its up and running quite a few of the goodies i have been piling up will be installed.

Thus I will be able to drive my Nice Blue Sedan down to the Jan 3rd Pacific NW Civic-EG Meet.

I have not tried timing it since I got spark back. I remember i couldn't get it close when timing so the timing belts probably a few teeth off. I am just tired of messing with it. I want to have a nice 4door to drive around in, Its embarrassing driving in my Red Sedan.

I can only go and work on the car on sundays, I dont want to fight with the car and burn up the precious few sundays I have left before the Jan 3rd Meet trying to get the car timed and not be able to go down for the next meet.

I have been daily driving my Integra LS since august and even though its an automatic, I love its torqueness. For my Backup Daily and Family Shuffler I want the same torqueness. I figure now is as good of time as any to sell off my old D Series stuff and get a torquey JDM b18b.

All of these reasons all amount to why I decided to pull my d16z6 and temporally stuff in the d15b7 from my red sedan into my Blue Sedan, I will have my nice sedan I am not embarrassed of, and then in spring take out the d15b7 and swap in the jdm b18b.

Edit:

Its Rocking a D15b7 and the CX/HX EK Transmission out of my red winter beater sedan. Not incredably fast however it does the job and will be good enough until I swap in a LS.

Unless there is lots of snow, I will be making the trip down to Portland for our Pacific NW Meet come Jan 3rd.

Pics of Extra goodies coming soon.

I need to get me one of those engine levelers. They really do make it that much easier. but right now i am thankful just to have my own picker. :thumb:

Taking engines/trannys out the bottom sucks. The pickers are worth every penny. Engine levelers are awesome. Made life super easy pulling engine and tranny out and sticking it back in.

If you think it looks fresh now. You will have to see it by the end of the month.

I was in a shop, Wearing many layers of clothing, and gloves, The day I pulled then engine from the red sedan and put it in my blue sedan I had the stove in the shop going. it was quite doable. Working outside would suck massive balls, I wouldn't have attempted this had I not had access to a nice (semi)heated shop.

The 3rd will be awesome. I am getting some of my buddy's to roll down. It should be cool.

______

A good freind of mine blew up his d16z6 in his si hatch. He then parked the car and started slowly parting it out instead of putting a new engine together. While I disagreed with what he was doing, I couldn't help but get some parts off of it for my Sedan.

Image

USDM Si Cluster and USDM Clock added. I have been wanting these since I got the car. I will be adding amber lights to the Si Cluster and an amber cover for my Clock. I swaped this in shortly after bleeding the engine.

I was going to post this up yesterday but didn't take pics soon enough.

I will be going back to my Uncles sunday to pick up some more goodies.

I did, I have been friends with the guy for since we were kids. I got him into Honda's. I have lent him some money when he was unemployed and being thankful he gave me a great deal on some parts.

The Tach is awesome. Not sure what a d15b7 redlines at, I never go over 5k though. This car idles at 600rpm, I can barely see it idle. at first I thought the car died when it idled, until i tapped the gas and it throttled up.

The cluster and clock has been sitting on my shelf for a few months now. Finally put them to use.

#161242 good pickup...was the wiring difficult for the no tach to tach change? i guess i got spoiled by having an EX, i don't know what i would do if i didn't have that clock, i use it all the time! :thumb:

and man, luckily i have a garage of sorts here at school where i can work but my dad has a fully insulated heated shop so i'm stoked to do some work in there if i need too ... this cold has gotta end

good work man, keep it coming
