- Fri Jan 20, 2012 4:18 am #291129 Whatever I can find.. Probly a z6 though. Nothin new as far as my build goes.. I got laid off at the machine shop I was working at so I'm just waiting on taxes.

Ive driven my buddy's eg w a ls swap a few times and I really want to save my money for that.. But I'm thinkin about building a mini me for now with a stage 1 cam and tuning.. Really though my engine is solid so Im planning on spending my money on suspension brakes tires and body.. I want my body to look as straight as it can w/o body work. I'm trying to get as much taken care of as I can before spring gets here cause I wanna hit up a track day

I'm bout to put up a new parts list on my thread so I'm not jackin yours

Yea good ole Kansas where we can put whatever in whatever and then straight pipe it.. Downside is snow ( been lucky this year so far) and fucking potholes ( pretty much all of our roads )

Update got my rear disk swap going to clean them up and go take them to press in some energy suspension bushings. I was going to put blox lca but after finding out my sway bar isn't going to fit I'm looking for something else. Major updates when taxes roll through :thumb:
Also started installing everything back on in the engine bay. Currently looking around for a b series or d series motor
If I go d I know for sure z6
B series I don't know either ls or b16 if I have a chance ill get a gsr

Any suggestions? If I go b series I'll stay NA and will be my DD so keeping my AC is a must

- Sun Jan 22, 2012 11:31 pm #291503 Definitely a z6 or an ls.. Good thing about the ls is you can go vtec later down the road.. Z6 is the cheap route though.. But there is nothin better than poppin a honda hood and seein a b.. Only thing better is a supercharged k..

Yea and lucky you about the rust.. I can't even count how many vehicles I've owned that have had a fair amount of rust... My project now doesnt haven't a lot though it's probly 90% rust free :thumb:

my goal if I were to go b is get my car BAR'd which from what I hear isn't cheap I'm leaning more for the ls seems better bang for my Buck and over time collect parts for ls Vtec :thumb:
so now I'm on the hunt for b series parts :twisted: but if I find a z6 before that I'll stick with that becaUse I have a bunch of d series stuff

I just want to be able to hold my own.. I'd love to go ls but I figure I'll go mini me for now and then start collecting parts for an ls swap cause I want to go through the engine top to bottom before I put it in and that's gonna take some time let alone the fact it'll probly take me a few days to do the swap since it'll be my first one. I figure I could do a head swap over the weekend (i have a kid) plus any maintenance I can do while I'm in there

My main focus with taxes though is gettin my suspension and brakes worked out cause they've seen better days

Yeah d series can be fun but after dipping in my friends gsr I'm going b series B.A.Rd or not :twisted: I feel you on doing it right the first time I want to do the same and I'm going to be selling all my d series stuff so look out for that in the classifieds.

I'm trying to trade my BMW for a B-series swap so if anyone is interested..
On the hunt for b series swap prefer getting usdm so I can BAR but ill take JDM :D

With taxes im pickin up a shell and doing a ground up build with the goal of having it driveable (not done) by sept.. I'll have pics up on my thread of the shell sometime soon.. Maybe even just start a new thread.. And yea I'm building it right the first time or I'm not doing it at all

Traded my rear gsr seats for sedan gsr seats only con is now my front and rear are mismatched

Also removed all the trim from interior,even dashboard, started off just wanting to redo headliner then got carried away :lol: going to paint black only thing in the car are the rear seats just to see how they fit
