#262333 so after i drove 400+ miles this weekend to go camping i decided to dig through my spare parts and came up with the high and low pressure A/C lines from my old car and got a can of refridgerant...

here is what i did to the old line:

and then i ghetto wrapped my turbo mani:

and wrapped the a/c lines in header wrap and reflective tape

so i hope this will help and last for a while, it's getting a littler warm here :)

thanks man... yeah the headlights were a bitch to get installed and aimed and rotationally accurate but now that they are, they are magnificent, i love driving in the dark now :D

so update:

i learned something over the weekend: that EG caliper brackets DO NOT fit on EK front brake calipers. nor are the pads interchangeable. they DO however use the same size rotors...
i ALSO learned that the Low Pressure A/C line i replaced off of my old EG is like 1.5" longer and slightly rotated off the compressor allowing me to clear my turbo manifold with some room to work with

so here is my dilemma: right now i'm driving my hoopty

i'm currently waiting for o'reilly to order in some brackets.

on a better note, look at the quality of the brembo rotors, they actually balanced them and took out material to make it so:

#263273 on a more uplifting note, i ordered a cabin air filter and frame and seal from hondaautomotiveparts.com and it fits in the space that is BLANK right now and the USDM civics never came with them stock....weird? :?

and i'm also looking at getting the FX300 clutch by clutchmasters....

will update when i get the filter and fix the brakes!

#263284 I didn't know the difference in the EK/EG Breaks. Strange. I do like the new Brembo Breaks.

The headlight mosture most likely is leaking in around where the HID bulb comes into the housing. especially if you sealed everything else up.

Its pretty strange that the USDM civics didnt' come with a cabin air filter.

Hows the power bug, is it itching for more? I know I'm felling it with my Delsol. I was good for maybe a week after my new clutch, however it feels slow again.

I'm sure your not looking forward to having to tear everything apart to put the clutch in. I know I wouldn't be looking forward to it especially after taking care of your exhaust issues.

Depending on state, its probally not "Legal" to the letter of the law.

In Washington State its not legal to put an older engine into a newer car. I.E. you can not put in a '89 b16 into a '91 da. However you can put a '91 engine into a '89 car. To determine legality's and possible passing smog/bar whatever you need to look into your area's local laws. I will not be held responsible for you getting in legal issues because of the information below:

How you do it is you put the OBD2a/b parts onto the obd1 engine. I.E. Obd2 fuel injectors, alternator, etc. If need be and distributors do not fit, open up the distributors and swap electronics or depin and repin to correct the plugs.

You can then run an OBD2 ecu that matchs the equivalent of your engine if you want to. Or as most people do, as well as what I did myself is get an OBD2A - OBD1(96-98) or OBD2b - OBD1(99-01) ecu harness adapter

That should solve what you need to do to put in a OBD1 engine into an OBD2 Car.
