what's up guys... i got a new ride finally and i felt the need to post it up! she is going to be my new daily driver and build car taking a lot of components out of the EG, i don't quite know what i want to do with it yet...
here is a picture of the old girl:
it's bone stock, EX model

and A/C
so overall plans are to swap the engine/tranny/rear discs and pretty much every drivetrain component out of the EG into this one. since i already built the z6, i'm going to take swap and take off the newly acquired y8 head and build it on the side. I have a 2.5" downpipe that i will employ to *TRY* and keep A/C, retrofit my coupe exhaust with some couplers and hangers. Need to purchase new injectors, A new clutch and get a re-tune
on to the pics....it's pretty clean, outside has very little dings, interior is pretty good (which can be cleaned)
oh, and it came with these
switching over all the stereo wiring/head unit/speakers
all installed
so there are a few problems:
tach was wiggin out...while entertaining and worthy of a pic:
so i went on fixing this little issue...
the hood overlaps in the front:
no hood release cable/broken:
so 11/14/10:
i got these parts: just to touch up some things, didn't have a battery tie down and the belts squeaked like a mother
so i found this guy chillin, and my sunroof rattled like a mofo:
i got some stainless hardware, trimmed it:
drilled and tapped a 1/4-20 hole for it: (almost broke my glass)
put some foam in there, loctited it, and she's good to go! even lubricated it
much much more to come! stay tuned
