it's awesome in snow... I HOPE we get a blizzard
I don't even have any weight in the bed and I have not needed 4wd yet.
Here's some more pics that I took. This was right after I had it undercoated for winter - the first thing I did when I bought the truck in Dec.
When I crawled under at the owner's house, I pretty much knew I had to buy it asap. it DID have some frame rot previously which was properly cut out and replaced with new metal. They guy did a great job on the repair, I saw his before & after pics. He also had a steel bed on it at one point which is why the back of the frame is beefed up, Then he found this southern bed.
Originally I planned on converting to fuel injection but after completing a list of what I need that's on hold. I never had a carb'd vehicle before- all those vac lines scare me. So I take pics before I mess with anything to be sure I put them back in the right place.
Also notice the massive long bump stops the previous owner welded to the frame. Maybe he put them on before the body lift because they look like overkill. I need to flex her out and see about chopping those down a bit.
I'm not going to do any serious wheeling until summer when I have another vehicle to drive.
