DC2 DD *update 10/17/2011*

- Thu Aug 11, 2011 1:49 am #267068 So I came across a deal that I just couldnt pass up. Especially since I was looking for a fun DD anyways. Drove 4 hours round trip for it.

It is a 99 LS. It has an ls/vtec motor(GSR head), and GSR tranny. Why the guy didnt just keep the gsr bottom end is beyond me. I snatched it up quick an ran :lol:

It has 120k on the clock. ls/vtec with a type r valve cover, Skunk2 intake mani, Hondata intake mani gasket, AEM short ram, Hasport motor and tranny mounts, Greddy catback, stage 3 clutch with lightweight flywheel, Phearable ECU, Skunk2 Cam Gears, Skunk2 upper strut tower braces front and rear, clean interior with new carpet, momo steering wheel, type r wing. Body is clean as hell, no dents, no dings. Headlights are foggy, so I will address that with all of the other small things over the weekend.

I'd use timing covers on a daily driver though. You don't want road debris getting down in your timing belt cog, it can lead to a shorter timing belt life. Take a look in a corner of your engine bay and you'll prob find tiny little pebbles/sand. I wouldn't want that grinding in my timing belt or other moving parts.

- Sat Aug 20, 2011 1:38 am #268185 Ordered an ecu from John at Phearable. Should be in tomorrow. Set cam gears back to -1 1 until I can get to the dyno in Tampa. Ordered a tri-Y header and skunk2 tb to match the im. Also removed the ugly ass lip that was on it, as well as the NEO, and then swapped out wheels with the coupe.

installing pcv system this weekend.

- Tue Sep 20, 2011 7:06 pm #273174 Some new bits, front and rear cross drilled/slotted rotors with Hawk Performace Ceramic pads. Slim ballast HID kit 6000K, and finally got the PCV/catch can system installed.
