#106610 well since ive been driving the eg8 i just got with the slow but gas saving d15z1.. i came to the conclusion that ITS SLOW :lol: ..

so im thinking of getting a d16z6 and swapping if i do that what is needed to swap..??

wiring harness,engine,ecu,

what else?

#106625 If you have the D15z1 everything should be wired for vtec, which takes care of the hardest part.

List of things you will need:
>- D16z6 Engine
>- D16z6(b000) EX/Si Transmission(not needed, but highly HIGHLY recommended)
>- P28 ECU
>- 4 Wire o2 Sensor.

If you run on your VX Transmission your car will still be slow.
Everything else you have you can reuse. Having the engine harness makes life easier, however that should come on your engine.

is there any way to check on the wiring harness to make sure its the vtec wiring harness because on these vtec-e.. i cant even feel my vtec-e kick in :lol:

i also think i have an lx tranny .. i need to check on that though.

so if i have some of that stuff already i just need a complete d16z6 and a p28 ecu.. :thumb:

im guessing around 500?? rite?

it should have a 5 wire if it was originally swapped correctly

you shouldn't - it's vtec-E (Economy)

Lx/DX tranny has the same stamping as the cx/vx. The big difference is inside, the cx/vx have a longer final drive ratio.

yeah Vtec-e is wack :lol: .. saves gas though

yeah Ill probally look around get the engine first run it with this tranny for awhile till i find a ex or si tranny..

yeah saw one on ebay for 400 with 150 shipping sounds kool but i need to look more into it before i make a decision..

about how much you think i can get out of this d15z1 im guessing not more than 300..??

#106910 Only the federal model VX's have the wideband 5 wire O2 sensor. California models 93-95 have 4 wire, and JDM models have 1 wire O2 sensors.

The VTEC wiring is exactly the same. In fact, the VTEC solenoids are interchangeable. The only differences between VTEC and VTEC-E are contained within the ECU and the valve train.

The Z1 and Z6 distributors, MAP sensors, and valve covers are all interchangeable.

KEEP your lower alternator mount and your front lower "AC" engine mount. Hold the Z1 mounts in one hand and the Z6 mounts in the other hand, and you'll understand why.

but if i do swap i want a local engine so im gonna look around meantime ill work on the looks maybe even get a 14b :eh:
