I/H/E what next?

- Wed May 06, 2009 12:43 am #115182 Hey guys, I was trying to decide what to do next to my D series? Already got i/h/e was thinking Skunk2 Intake mani. Any better ideas looking to spend $400 tops, and if I go with that is there anything I should look out for to replace as well (gaskets, hoses etc.) while I swap this out?

- Wed May 06, 2009 2:12 am #115217 well if you buy the intake mani your gonna need a tune, so thats gonna cost you, for chiping your ecu or standalong plus dyno time. i know alot of people would say you shoulda swaped your motor but if you like then why not switch over to a shorter geared tranny. buy some tires and mabey stiffer suspension. you dont need engine parts to go faster.

- Wed May 06, 2009 2:42 am #115221 In the long run, bolt ons for a D series are not cost effective. To get the most power out of your D, save up for a while and spend big at once. D's love to be boosted. Or if a cheap turbo kit is out of budget, there's always nitrous.
You'll blow through a lot of $$$ on bolt ons, only to gain a coupe or few HP for each mod.

What d-series motor do you have?
