Ugh need help for starting my car

- Thu Jul 02, 2009 6:49 pm #127816 Ok so im trying to create a checklist because maybe i missed something its getting fuel and spark which is great and it seems like it wants to kick over but it isnt....

So im just wondering what i should check to make sure i did everything alright and stuff.....I will hook-up the cluster and see if there are any check engine lights as well....but yea if you think of anything i can check im 99% positive its correctly timed and stuff like that...

Might it be be due to me not having on the rest of the exhaust i have the manifold and downpipe on nothing else.....could it be because there is probaly no back pressure i know ive started cars like that before and it seemed fine......

its a 1995 honda cx with a D15b2 mini me Z6 head im really also thinking it may be the skunk 2 intake manifold just because nothing seems correct with it when attatching it to my head since it is mainly designed for the Y8 im sure....

- Thu Jul 02, 2009 6:53 pm #127820 having an open exhaust pipe won't have any effect on whether the engine starts or not. hook up your cluster, and check all the sensors one more time.

- Thu Jul 02, 2009 7:18 pm #127835 man you guys are fast lol well i did some researching and of coarse my distributor plug wires where on wrong so switched them around and voila she almost started then roared to life im gonna fill up the coolant and get all teh air out and then let everything heat up and seal correctly man dose she sound mean lol but thanks for the help
