D15, D16, D17 and Mini-Me swaps

#129475 First off, I am a dumbass.

I replaced my starter about 6 months ago, got a CEL and JUST really figured out how to do it this week. It was my TPS. Bought a new sensor, watched a youtube video on the thing, and then looked at mine. Take a guess at what I saw?

Yeah, not fucking plugged in. :x

Anyways, started it up, ran fine....for about 15 minutes. Plpplplplp (that's the poopy fart noise.)

Injectors. CEL says fuel injectors.

Okay... suggestions?

Are OEM FI's okay?

I found some on ebay from a 94 Del Sol with a D16z6 in it...will those work?

I'm at my wit's end with my car. I'm actually just trying to fix it so I can trade it in.

#129494 it's not common for the oem injectors to fail... but yes all the z6 injectors are the same and both cars are OBD1 so the clips will be the same too.

You might also change your fuel filter, located to the right of the battery.

Which injector was bad?
ecu codes:
71: random misfire cylinder 1
72: random misfire cylinder 2
73: random misfire cylinder 3
74: random misfire cylinder 4

fyi, I've also seen bad plug wires and other ignition components that have been neglected throw those codes.

Well it just gave me code 16, which just says fuel injectors. Didn't give me a misfire code, but I can look again.

My car ran fine, I think. Personally I thought it idled a bit low but then again I could be wrong. Any way to TEST a fuel injector?

Also, in an unrelated problem - I hooked up my subs to my kenwood head unit, now my clock resets itself everytime I turn my car off, and the radio doesn't work.

Is there a suicide emoticon?

#129598 Well while the engine is running you can try and listen to which one(s) might not be working, but it's hard on a misfiring engine that's shaking all over the place. You can also check continuity and measure resistance through the connector.

Only way for sure is to take them out and then give them 12v and see which ones click open.

I have OEM injectors. They have an ass ton of miles on them, but they worked fine on my turbo'd engine before I wanted more boost. I can give them to you for the price of shipping if you want em.

I would but that would take a bit too long to get to me...I might buy them local or on eBay and get expedited shipping.

I checked it again, CEL code 16....No misfire code. It sounded like ass the first time I started it. FML

I'm selling this

EDIT

Just bought some injectors off ebay....I should probably buy a seal kit...correct?

#129703 Yeah, I forgot you guys have junkyards stocked with Hondas when you don't live in the sticks.

Keep in mind the seal kit has all the necessary seals for ONE injector, so you'll need to buy four.
