#163430 Okay, So I have noticed that I have a vacuum/boost leak, and I absolutely cannot find it. Then the other day my friend had asked me if I had that brace that goes to the intake manifold from the block on, and he said that the bolt holes may go through into the intake plenum and causing me to lose vacuum/boost. Now my question is, do those bolts go through?

Also if you guys have any other suggestions, I've replaced the intake manifold gasket twice, and checked all my vacuum hoses with carb spray and all that jazz...

engine is d16z6 in 94 coupe

Thanks :)

I don't have any pics because its snowing like hell outside or i woulda just checked it out myself. I was just hoping someone had some insight to this, but there are 2 of these holes that are on the underside of the intake manifold if that helps.

#163479 no man it wont cause a leak. many people dont even keep the brace on. take off your intake and put ur hand over the throttle body and if the car dies then the leak is somwhere in your boost lines, if not you should be able to hear where the leak is. you can also spray throttle body cleaner in the spaces where the intake manifolds connects... for example the block and the intake manifold.
