#164003 I have a problem,first I posted a couple of days ago,my car turn off while I was driving,I got home and I cleaned he battery post and it turnd on fine,so now it didn't want to start in the morning,it would turn over but not start,I found the ground connection on the starter to the chassis was messed up,I ran my own wire and I tried starting and it fried the wire and cought it on fire,so knw it dosent even click over ,I bought a new wire now when I put the wire to the starter to the chassis it sparks,when I turn off the key ,the brake light and seatbelt light stays on,does any one knw wat the hell this is?or how I could trobleshot this problem,thanks

#164081 did you mess with anything on your car before this problem started happening? Hondas don't just go bad like that, it is probably caused by something else that was done.

When you ran your own wire was it the same gauge as the factory wire?

It sounds like you did some damage when that wire caught fire. See if any other wires melted.

There is no ground wire to the starter. The starter has a signal wire and a power wire that goes directly to the battery. The starter is grounded by metal on metal connection to the tranny.

There's a ground wire on the tranny and another on the valve cover. That's it.

#164210 Some come to find out I fried the igniter inside the distruburator,replaced it and timed it and tat did the trick thanks guys
