- Mon Feb 01, 2010 10:20 pm #172557 i have a code 4 (crank sensor) and a 17 (speed sesor, which has been bad for awhile with no code)
i checked the ohms on the crank sensor and it reads good. If the ohms are good can the sensor still be bad and why is the speed sensor showing a code now when its been bad for 8 months????

- Mon Feb 01, 2010 11:11 pm #172565 sometimes electronics are like that the ohm reading is also just a test there may be something internally going on there that will effect it..

as for the speed sensor who knows maybe it has been stored in teh ecu and never really threw a light

mine was messed up for a while. once it threw the CEL light, the car would not even idle right because of it.


mine now again is messed up. works a little, then jumps all over, then nothing. hasn't thrown a CEL yet. I think its something in the wiring or maybe even the cluster
