#198378 my car used to run perfect i cracked the radiator and replaced it. after i replaced it i had a few issues of leaking hoses and burning off coolant now everything is fine besides my overflow tank keeps getting boiling hot coolant in it and it steams out when my car gets warm not while idling but when im driving around. what would cause this? its not leaking anywhere but it just becomes so hot and it seems like its circulating non stop through the overflow tank? what could cause this? :?

#198380 well i figured out that its not going through the lower radiator hose? when i first got the radiator i drained water through it to make sure it went all the way through. now my upper hose is hot while my lower hose is cold why wouldnt this go through and out?

#198946 wouldn't i have a problem with the head gasket if it did warp?

and what would make it so the coolant wouldn't flow through correctly if the head warped?

#198972 slightly warped head could allow combustion chamber pressure into the coolant passages which would them force the coolant out of the system at the easiest place = the overflow tank.

A blown poorly sealed head gasket can do the same. So can an improperly torqued head.

Look at your coolant

if it has a film then that's a sign of the above.
