So pulled the spark plugs out and discovered all four cylinder is flooded with gas. So my injector does work but still will check the resistance to make sure they are strong or up to spec.

Question:
1. What happens when fuel flood the cylinders? I am airing it out but is there something else i can do or check?

2. I assume this is one reason why i can't start the car with gas flooding the cylinder?

Any help or suggestion please.

I just re-read the entire thread and you said you have a water temp code? if so you could need a sensor and it may think it's -40 outside and it's not so it could flood it self doing that!!

check to see if it's corroded or something!! or ground wire!!

#207371 Thanks for re-reading the thread. The code is gone, I unplugged the temp sensor when fixing the dist.

So as of now, no code, but gas flood the cylinder. Letting it air out, but weather is damp and not so hot so it might take couple of days.

#208020 Ok, so I have no spark coming out from the spark plugs. What I don't understand is, I got and replaced the Coil, and whatever is in the distributor is new.

So the only thing I saw by tracing back to the distributor is the coil spring. There is a small spring from my old coil that I didn't pull out until today. So I removed it and pop it in to the new coil.

And what I noticed too is, there were at some point of time during starting it, shows spark because my rotor and the cap shows electric marks. Other than that, I don't think it sparked again.

Do you think my coil went bad again because I didn't install the small spring? Confused and going to drop kick this spark issue.

Note:
I do have fuel and tons of it. But no spark to kick start the engine. No code no nothing of a sign.

if you got spark back you may just be flooded now. try new plugs and blow out the cylinders

#208084 Great NEWS!!!

Got the B-it started!!!! :woot:

Thank you Torch_Ind and all who helped me on this issue. But you won't believe what was the problem.

Ready.... The TDC on the crank. I don't have a white line on my crank pulley so I wasn't used to how it was marked. No excuses on my end but a small setting will set you back trying to figure out what the fock!

So I got the TDC lined up and set all things back to normal. She didn't really want to start because of the gas flooded in all 4 cylinder. Step on the pedal wide open and gave her some double pump action. She sputter and kept the double action going on the pedal.

Bam, she bimp a little and turned over. Gave her some gas and she is alive!

What a pain and what a nightmare for almost 1 month of figuring out what the fock went wrong.

All in all, it is the my coil that went bad. I will do a full resistance test to see what part i can keep and what is going to the trash.

Again, Thank you all for the help and I will keep everyone posted once i perform the test of the parts.

Yes, after i replaced the coil and other parts. But I believe it is the coil that caused the problem. Then the timing when i took the distributor off as i didn't set the timing right.

#211022 Not to revive an old thread, but I'm having this same issue.

The really strange part is I'm also getting CEL code 6 for water temperature sensor. I'm getting fuel, but I don't have spark. I'm picking up a used Distributor tomorrow to try it out and see what happens. Any insight other than a bad coil that could be wrong? I've been reading around and there's a lot of people saying things like having to wire the distributor directly to the ECU and shit, and I'm not really game for that.

If you are having Code 6, check your sensor connection right below the distributor. I got the code 6 due to unplugging it as oil was dripping after I pulled the distributor out. So have a rag right under the dist and you should be ok.

As for what happen, if you pull out your distributor, make sure to TDC (Top Dead Center) and change your spark plug, wires, cap, and rotor.
