#212826 I've been searching for answer to the said question on the web for quit some time. Either i suck at search engine or i'm just lost.

my sohc vtec civic make light clunking sound when engine warming up. few minute later its gone.. FYI the cylinder block have been warped and head resurfaced/shaved 3 times. The shop says this is the final shaved no more after this. after the 3rd overhaul the engine is quite rough.. so..

- is it the the bearing? if so what part?
- will replace cylinder head block make it OK?
- replace the whole engine?

any answer would be great..

#212830 The valves sometimes make a clicking noise before the engine warms up. Is that what you are talking about. If so I wouldn't worry about it.

What are you doing to the poor car that you've managed to have to resurface the head 3 times. And did you get the block decked too?

the 1st shaved when i replace my burnt head gasket. the machine shop did bad job and did the 2nd shave FOC.. a year after ...the water broke in , and did the 3rd.. dunno if the shop shaved the block too.. should i get a total engine replacement if the engine screw up again?
