#214488 Hi people, another query.

I have an ACL clutch (it's basically the same as exedy) and on most occasions when I'm driving and I'm in gear (in motion) and I let off the gas, there's a clunk noise and a shud from my car which causes me to rock forward in my seat. Then when I put my foot back on the gas, the exact same thing applies. Changing gear is no problem, the clutch engages into gear no probs.

Now this is an annoying thing to have to deal with, especially when driving through town or something. Lol. Does anybody else have this issue?

Thanks,
Paul

#214499 Probably the rear engine mount. Check to make sure the rubber in the mount isn't torn. If it is, there's your culprit. Might as well check the rest of your engine mounts while you're at it.

#214519 When I got my car back from the tranny shop it did the same thing. One of my transmission mounts was loose because the guy forgot to put a bolt back in. Check those too. :thumb:

#214649 Ah awesome. Thanks for the info people. Shall check the mounts. In fact, now I think about it, I'm sure they're f**ked. :).

Thought it might of been something to do with the clutch.

Heh, will do :). I'll be booking it in to the garage at somepoint to get other bits and pieces, I'll take a look then. :)

I know for a fact that the lower front engine mounts are f**ked though! :P

#215632 The front lower mounts could also cause the clunking, but not quite as bad as the rear mount. Let us know what's up.
