Well i think the deal with the integra trade is going sour but im still waiting a bit anyhow thats not what this threads about im wondering in your guys opinion what i should do about my civics smoking habit.....
I have a couple spare blocks sitting around mainly a d15b6 i have a d15b2 crank and i also have rods and pistons my plan would be to do a refresher new rings parts etc probaly new pistons and cap it off with a y7 head i have sitting in my basement ....
or
there are a couple of yards around me that have civic engines with 30day warrenties for around 250 for just the long block i mean intake etc on it but no accessories trans stuff like that you pull it out yourself etc....
and of coarse ive found a few on craigslist....
there is one d15b7 near me with 140k tho its been sitting under a tarp for a year and a half on a concrete pad asking 75 for it now i think that is a deal and even if i have to buy the rubbers for it i do think even if it sat that long it should be good to go ive had motors sit longer and still fire up....he did say its midding teh accessories and intake manifold but also before pulling it did fire up and run well....just the body on his 4dr ended up rusting out....but im not 100% on what id have to do to it havent seen it yet......
and there is a
d15b2 with 140k on it a tad farther out he wants a packaged deal fro 250 with engine trans and starter....
so yea i mean buying an engine d series is defiantely i think going to be alot cheaper depending on what you buy but then again your also if you decide to rebuild your starting practically fresh and that engine will last you that much longer.....
thoughts opinions please??
