D15b start up problem

- Mon Mar 07, 2011 4:11 am #242641 Another thing witht he skunk2 manifold when i had installed mines i had a crazy surge idle going up to 3500 rpm and back down.. what i had to do is take off the TB gasket. and plug my bottom port inside my TB that goes to the Fast idle valve. and the idle fixed it self instantly. still running now with the plug in there. lol.. got it tuned after and it purrs like a kitten. and angry kitten.. did u plug in the purge solenoid hose behing the manifold? and check the pic.

See the last port with the black plug. that needs to be plugged..

got a pic of what yours looks like?

did u bend ur throttle cable too much or not enough?

- Mon Mar 07, 2011 5:23 am #242648 yeah i connect all the sensors correctly minus the IAT but i think im going to shave it down to fit snug in the hole it is supposed to

But i also might believe that the problem can be the Ignition Switch because it shuts the engine off as if i turned the key to off..

Aha.. check the Ignition fuse at the fuse box at the fire wall and also under the dash..

- Wed Mar 09, 2011 2:59 am #243059 i feel sooo stupid guys..all this time it was the ecu ground on the thermostat..i remember me tightening it with my fingers and i forgot to tighten it with the socket.. Thanks for all your guys input i really appreciate it :woot:

yeah dude but i cant see the marks on the pulley cause it has surface rust on it..ima sand the rust off a bit so i can see the marks..

yeah do that and then get like a red or yellow crayon and color it in
