As title says I have a z6 and I'm experiencing throttle issues.
Basically, when I'm accelerating slightly and then come to a stand still and take my foot off the gas and down on the clutch, my engine starts fluctuating from 1100rpm to around 1500 rpm, up/down/up/down ... Until it decides to idle properly. BUT it idles around 1100rpm.
It all started a month or two ago when idling increased to around 1100rpm, didn't think much of it until it starting revving like this on it's own.
I've tried to adjust the throttle cable, and I've noticed the bit the cable attaches on to (with the spring, the bit that actually increases the rpm) seems to be the problem.
For instance, if I have my engine running and pull the cable from under the bonnet, and let it off, it's starts doing that revving shit, then if I force it down after I blip the throttle it doesn't do it. Although doing that doesn't seem to show any signs of difference visually.
Also another annoying thing is that the thread that the throttle bit (sorry don't know the name, the bit the cable attaches on to) sits on when you're not asking for gas, is as if it's a strong magnet. It's like it gets stuck to do. It has a major effect when driving in traffic. I try and accelerate slowly but where the pedal is stuck, I have to push hard and then there's a sudden jerk because of how hard I've had to push the pedal lol.
Really appreciate it if you guys have the answer on how to make my engine rev correctly and at the right rpm and stop the pedal getting stuck. Also it's very similar to when I'm cruising, when I let off the gas it jerks/kicks as I've taken my foot off the pedal, then engine decreases speed.
Sorry I really hope you guys understand my jibberish.
Thanks in advanced.
