- Sat Apr 16, 2011 12:32 am #250650 so im not stupid. i needed a starter for a d16z6 in my eg. i went to autozone cause i have a comercial account there. there were 2 different starters to choose from for the d16z6 5 spd. 2 very different starters. so they crossed refrenced my vin with the honda dealership and we came up with a part #. got the starter home and the holes do not line up with the block/tranny. has anyone ever heard of this. i thought all d series starters were the same.
