#35349 ive been trying to get my crank pulley off....ive tried everything.....ratchets...breaker bars...and even an impact gun and nothing...its still on their tight....i was thinking about heating it up but the oil pan is right behind it.....do you think i would actually be able to heat the bolt w/o blowing myself up.....and any other suggestions would help...thanks

#35350 spray it with a lot of pb blaster and let it soak for a few min then try the gun again.

#35352 you mean shocking it? Uhm... As long as your careful doing that it might work. When I couldn't get mine off I just put a socket on there and hit the socket with a hammer like 30 times. Lubed it up. Then stuck the impact on there and it came right off.

#35353 No heat!! Main seal is back there.

You need to extend your breaker bar to like 6+ feet long. You need torque in this situation.

Also put your car in 5th gear and keep the foot pedal brake on. That'll hold things still as best as possible.

#35357 could always do it the old fashion ghetto way by putting the (17mm right?) with a socket and putting it against the frame and start the car lol you might end up breaking the tool tho
