- Tue Apr 01, 2008 2:45 am #48561 hah u got to hear this and please tell me if true !! my buddy has an Honda CRX HFx with the d15b6 with the 8 valve engine u know the 62 hors engine and he put an greedy setup tubo in it and he says he got like 180 horses when i smoked it with my built az6 ! hah my question have u ever heard any one out an turbo or supercharger on any 8 valve hond civic ?? and can i ge nice #'s ??thanks

- Tue Apr 01, 2008 4:27 pm #48646 When you boost a motor it doesn't matter if it's eight valves. In fact, that might be preferable. But the fact that it's such a weak motor to begin with means that it isn't going to handle a big increase in power without being rebuilt with more robust components. If it were done correctly with a good engine management system there is no doubt in my mind that his car could put yours to shame. But people with that level of commitment aren't very common.

Just keep in mind that Honda is always the underdog (well except motorcycles). Your reaction is the same as what people said of the B16A "oh my god is a 4 cylinder front wheel drive LOL LOL".
